Remedies For Warts

Under the category of most annoying and irritating skin growths fall the following: warts, moles and skin tags. Despite of them being harmless, they negatively affect the appearance and by this the self-confidence. Aside from them not being too pleasant to the eye, they cause the individual to feel self-conscious. Nevertheless, there are a lot of natural remedies that can be used to successfully deal with these skin issues!

Good Old Duct Tape

Duct tape works for fixing or patching a million different things, but it can also kill off a nasty wart! This idea comes directly out of the mouth of Dr. Oz. It works because it blocks all the oxygen surrounding the wart, thereby suffocating it to death. You need to leave it on for about five days, however duct tape was built to stick to things, so it shouldn’t peel off in the meantime.

Fresh Pineapple

Pineapple has an amazing enzyme called bromelain that can dissolve warts in no time! The treatment is as simple as applying a fresh slice of pineapple to the wart several times a day. The acids and enzymes will soon kill it off. Do not use pineapple juice or the fruit that comes in the can, as these are exposed to high heat, which kills the beneficial enzymes.

Garlic Paste

This sounds like the makings of a scrumptious dish, but Livestrong says that the enzyme in garlic paste can break down the cell clusters so the mole spreads out evenly across the skin. The enzymes will also help the mole lighten up over time.

To make a garlic paste:

Step 1: Using a Q-tip, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly around the mole to protect the skin. Garlic may burn the skin, and you only want to treat the mole itself.

Step 2: Crush a clove of garlic with a garlic press until a mushy paste is formed.

Step 3: Apply the paste directly on top of the mole.

Step 4: Cover the area with a bandage and let it sit for 4 hours.

You can repeat this process up to three times a day.

Potato Power

Potatoes also have a natural enzymes that can dissolve the clumpy skin cells that form the mole. Rub a sliced potato against the mole three times per day. Repeat the process until the mole disappears.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The natural acidity and enzymes in apple cider vinegar are known to treat a host of health ailments, and it’s one of the best ways to remove skin tags. To treat, soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and dab it directly onto the skin tag. You can do this several times a day. Eventually, the tags will darken and fall off.

Oregano Oil

Oregano oil contains a variety of chemical compounds that have amazing antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits. It’s a great natural alternative treatment for skin tags. According to Dr. Mercola, there are at least 40 different species of oregano, and not all of them have therapeutic health benefits. Makes sure you are using Origanum vulgare or Thymus capitatus from Spain for the most impact.

Step 1: Dilute two drops of oregano oil with four drops of coconut oil. Never apply the oregano oil full-strength, as it can burn sensitive skin.

Step 2: Apply this mixture on top of the skin tag three times per day.

Step 3: Patiently watch as it dries up and falls off! It may take up to a month to see results.

You may smell like an Italian pasta dish after you’re done, but it will be well worth it to get rid of the skin tags!

Onion Juice

Onions have been used for centuries to reduce inflammation and heal infections. It’s rich in sulfur and B-complex vitamins. The juice of the onion can help rejuvenate a dull complexion, and are a perfect choice for treating skin tags.

To make this paste, you will need to do a little prep work ahead of time:

Step 1: In the morning, chop an onion and mix it with salt. Let it sit all day until the salt forces the juice out of the onion.

Step 2: Apply the juice onto the skin tag at bedtime, and cover with a bandage. Wash it off in the morning.

You will need to repeat this process nightly until the skin tag is gone. Don’t forget to make a new salted onion each morning!
