We all love smoothies don’t we? But have you tried a smoothie bowl? It’s basically thicker than a smoothie and eaten with a spoon rather than being sipped through a straw, a smoothie bowl is a heartier, kicked up version of a traditional smoothie.
Because we have smoothies so regularly, we like keep lots of frozen fruit on hand. For my Raspberry Coconut Smoothie Bowl , I decided to use frozen raspberries.
If the idea of buying frozen fruit doesn’t do it for you, then freeze your own! In fact we’ll often buy fresh when certain items are on sale, chop everything up and freeze it, so we can use it whenever we want.
Only the highest quality raspberries are selected for freezing and the gentle flash-freezing process maintains their flavor and nutritional integrity, locking in their important nutrients.
Delicious Coconut Raspberry Smoothie Bowl Recipe:
- 2 cups frozen raspberries
- 1 large frozen banana
- ⅔ cup light coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- frozen raspberries
- frozen blueberries
- sliced banana
- pomegranate seeds
- flax seeds
- In a high-powered blender, combine frozen raspberries, coconut water and honey. Set on low speed and use the tamper (if using a Vitamix) to get everything well combined. The mixture should be thick and smooth.
- Top as desired, and serve immediately.
