How Radiation Impacts On Food

All of us realize that seafood is healthy and balanced and need to be integrated in our eating habits as much as possible. But recently there has been some questions relating to the protection of seafood, and whether or not it’s good for us.

Furthermore, we all choose consuming wild seawater fish over farmed fish, but sadly we may start steering clear from seafood and fish in the near future.

Superstation95 has recently reported that the radiation levels in the Pacific Ocean are so high that since June 2015 it has officially reached the US West Coast. The fish we all eat and believe to be healthy is actually pumped with radioactive material, such as Strontium-90 and Cesium-137.

What’s especially horrifying, Strontium-90 has calcium-like properties and once it gets into our body it goes immediately into our bones. And since it’s radioactive, it has a devastating effect on our bone marrow, resulting in Leukemia or other bone and blood cancers.

The radiation levels in the Pacific are so high that even the fish, such as the Pacific herring, Alaskan salmon or Canadian white fish have started to develop cancerous tumors throughout their bodies, as reported by Superstation 95.

First it was the GMO, and then we heard about Monsanto, now the Fukushima radiation is damaging our food supplies beyond repair, pretty soon there will be nothing safe to eat, let alone healthy. Everything we’ve been advised to include in our regular diet is becoming dangerous for our health.

On the other hand, the associate professor of ocean sciences at the Victoria University Jay Cullen, and many others, say otherwise. He says that if we look at the current radiation levels, even if we eat about 40 pounds of wild fish a year, it will still be about 300 times less dangerous for our health compared to smoking one pack of cigarettes a day.

Well there you have it folks, it seems that scientist can’t agree on the subject so it’s up to you to do the math carefully and decide what’s best for you.
